Streszczenia
The aim of the article is to discuss the legal regulations concerning the recognition of professional qualifications of foreign nurses in Poland. This issue is regulated in Articles 24, 35, 35a and 38 of the Act on the Professions of a Nurse and a Midwife and in executive regulations. In the Republic of Poland, nurses who are citizens of EU Member States and other countries can practice their profession only according to specific rules, otherwise their right to practice is considered temporary or occasional. Therefore, it is extremely important to de lege ferenda clarify these questionable legal regulations concerning the acquisition of qualifications by nurses who are citizens of EU Member States, in order to exclude any arbitrariness in their interpretation and thus too much freedom in the application of this law.
