Introduction: Work plays a very important role in the life of every human being. It is a determinant of social position, material standards and quality of life. Objective:: To determine how occupational therapists evaluate their own effectiveness and burnout. Brief description of the state of knowledge: Working alongside the benefits it brings to modern man, work also often brings stress or burnout. The special risk posed by the possibility of these negative phenomena is attributed to the employees of the so-called aid professions remaining in service to the other person. Therapists, such as a whole range of occupational therapists, psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, perform their work in difficult situations for people in need of help and support. This entails considerable psychophysical and somatic burden which can negatively affect the quality of their lives and lead to professional burnout. Summing-up: Occupational therapy workshops (OTW) are the facilities where all the aforementioned specialists in the field of assistance are employed. At present, there are about 10,000 people working in OTW. The work is difficult, stressful and responsible, and can lead to professional burnout.
